Jewel Frames Quilt Kit from Kaffe

We finished our quilt and it’s so much better seeing a finished quilt than just looking at the picture on the package.

This is a super easy quilt to make so if you are a beginner it’s for you. If you are a Kaffe fan, you can finish this one quickly.

Kaffe Jewel Quilt Kit from Creations Kerrville

The finished version of the Jewel Frame Quilt Kit is
so much more appealing than just the cover picture.

We chose to do the Green Quilt and we took off two
rows in the width so ours finished approximately 57″ x 78″.

The kit has enough fabric to make the quilt 78″ x 78″.

We now have some amazing wide backs designed by Kaffe and his fellow designers. We used the Lotus Leaf for the backing on ours. With the wide width, you can back your quilt with 2 3/4yds of the wide backing. Mad Plaid and Millefiore would also be great choices.

This quilt is such a simple idea and very easy to make. It features prints from Kaffe and “solids” from Marcia Derse. It’s a great combination!

Our kit contains the pattern along with 8 Kaffe Florals and 8 Marcia Derse Palette solids. The binding is also included.

For the backing you will need to purchase:

5yds for 42″ wide fabric or

2 1/2″ for 108″ wide directional fabric or

2yds 108″ wide non-directional fabric

If you have lots of Kaffe stashed away, then you might want the pattern and some of the Palette solids.

Kaffe Charm Quilt Kit

We love all those great Kaffe Collective prints. It’s often hard to choose which ones to use, so why not use the 5″ squares which are already cut and packaged. We love to combine Kaffe prints with Aboriginal prints so we used one of our favorite Aboriginal prints for the setting triangles and border.

Check out the kit or if you have lots of charm squares, you might just need the pattern.

Our kit finishes approximately 61″ x 73″ so it’s a great throw size.

It uses 4 packs of 5″ squares from Kaffe classic prints. We combined them with an Aboriginal print for the background and borders.

For the final colorful touch, we used one of the Kaffe’s large prints for the binding.

It was so easy and such fun to make!

If you have lots of prints and want to cut your own, we are also offering just the pattern. If you just need a little more variety in the squares, just grab one or two more packs.

If you like our setting triangles and outer border, here is a close look.
