Wishing for Fall

As August comes to an end, we are all eager for Fall to be here. We have a few more weeks, but the spirit is with us. Check out our Fall runner, panel and some great prints.

When Fall arrives, the time gets short to make runners and wall hangings for all the occassions. It’s a good time to get started now.

Both of these items are quick and easy. The runner is one of the fastest ones I have ever made. We have a kit that has all the fabrics to complete the runner including the backing fabric. (The backing fabric is so beautiful you could turn it over for a different look.) The runner finishes 17″ x 44″. If you have some great fabric in mind, just get the pattern.

The panel could be finished just as a hanging to remind us all of how fortunate we are. (It’s 24″ x 44″ approx.)

We also have some great fabrics. This first group is from In the Beginning and was used in our runner kit.

Celebrate Fall – make a beautiful wallhanging

We all get a bit frantic during the Holidays. Seems there are always big plans for making things, but time runs out. Make that time this summer with the digital panel and some coordinate suggestions. Bet you have some great fabrics stashed that would work with this panel too.

Fall Sewing – Time to Start

We just received a small group of Fall prints from Robert Kaufman. These fabrics have a touch of gold and they just speak Fall. We don’t have much of a Fall season in the Hill Country of Texas so our best bet to use them in smaller projects such table runners. You might have a favorite pattern, but the one we are featuring is an old favorite of ours.

If you are looking for a project for these prints, this runner from Atkinson Designs is one of our all time favorites. It’s great for a feature fabric and then some of those tonals from your stash! It will make you feel good about using your “stuff”.

The runner is 18″ x 42″ or you could make the topper which is 18″ x 18″. Purchase 1/2yd of the focus fabric.

The inner border is just 1/4yd and the accent squares, just 1/8yd. Your stash is a great place to look for these.

The outer border and binding is 3/4yd. (The green leaves would be beautiful here with one of the large sunflowers as the focus.)

If you can’t chose your favorite, get 3/4yd of another print and use it as the backing for a reversible runner!
