First Saturday Stuff

We will be open this Saturday, August 6th from 10 – 3 and we have lots of great stuff in the shop. We would love to see you come for a visit and check it out. That’s not possible for all our customers. We thought it would be fun to show one of our displays and feature the products in that display. If you can’t be here, you can still shop with us!

This display shows we like lots of different “stuff”.

We have a quilt, a wallhaning, a garment and lots of great fabric.

Wish you could be here in person to wander our shop, but hope this picture give you some inspiration.

Fourteen on Point is a quilt that features Palette Solids from Marcia Derse. These fabrics look as if they have been hand dyed, but without all the color running when laundered. If you like “solidish” fabric, these theses are for you.

We like to tuck in a garment or two in our displays to remind you that you can sewing clothes can be easy. Our newest and quickly becoming one of favorite top patterns is the Remy Blouse pattern. We have made it using rayon, linen and it is shown here in Silky Noil which is a linen/rayon combination. Silky Noil became a quick favorite because it is easy to sew, and is a machine wash and machine dry fabric.

This super simple top is perfect for your hot Texas weather. We love to make it out of fabric that has a nice drape to it and that’s why we chose the Silky Noil for this top.

Sizes range from 00 – 34 so it is made for us all.

Silky Noil is wide so it doesn’t take too much yardge.
For the 3/4 length sleeve and if your tiny, purchase 1 1/2yds. If you are normal to large, purchse 2 yards. If your size is 24 – 34, purchase 3 yards.

See our color selection of Silky Noil below.

Salsa Dreaming is a great wall hanging that is easy to make and features beautiful fabrics from Frond for Northcott.

That border fabric and the flowers look hand painted.

It makes a great statement, but so easy to make.

Last, but definitley not least is the wall of fabric that features our newest group from Marcia Derse. Random Thoughts is a compilation of some of her prints and colorways from her first lines. She has added new prints and new colors to keep it all up to the minute. Lines is just that…her classic lines that go with just about everything
