Fall Sewing – Time to Start

We just received a small group of Fall prints from Robert Kaufman. These fabrics have a touch of gold and they just speak Fall. We don’t have much of a Fall season in the Hill Country of Texas so our best bet to use them in smaller projects such table runners. You might have a favorite pattern, but the one we are featuring is an old favorite of ours.

If you are looking for a project for these prints, this runner from Atkinson Designs is one of our all time favorites. It’s great for a feature fabric and then some of those tonals from your stash! It will make you feel good about using your “stuff”.

The runner is 18″ x 42″ or you could make the topper which is 18″ x 18″. Purchase 1/2yd of the focus fabric.

The inner border is just 1/4yd and the accent squares, just 1/8yd. Your stash is a great place to look for these.

The outer border and binding is 3/4yd. (The green leaves would be beautiful here with one of the large sunflowers as the focus.)

If you can’t chose your favorite, get 3/4yd of another print and use it as the backing for a reversible runner!
