This sewing pattern might not really simplify your life, but it can make your sewing quick and easy. This is an easy sew that anyone with basic sewing skills can accomplish. There are no sleeves or collar details that can slow down the sewing process. If you hate buttonholes, you could just stitch the buttons down and pull the top over your head. Pretty easy!!
There are actually two different tops included in this pattern and we have made both of them. The “easy” one is the V-neck version. I call it a baseball shirt as there are no set-in sleeves or collar.
Fabric Requirements for button down front:
44″ wide Fabric:
Sizes XS – M — 2 yards; LG – XLG — 2 1/2 yards
3 buttons 1/2″ – 5/8″
1 yard fusible interfacing
If you decide on a fabric, just let me know in the notes and I will be glad to pick your buttons.
The fabric choices are almost endless for this top. For the summer we decided to us an all over floral from Kasada by Moda.
If Kasada is just to “flowery” for you, there are lots of other great choices for this summer top. Why not try one of these great cotton prints.
