Silky Noil from Telio Fabrics

Silky Noil is a great fabric for clothing and we are so happy to have some new colors and some of our old favorites back in stock. It has been nearly impossible to get fabrics here from Canada, but we received a large shipment and we are ready to sew.

It’s hard to buy fabric online and I can certainly understand. Silky Noil is worth the gamble. It goes thru the washer and dryer just great with hardly a wrinkle. The fabric is about 52″ wide so you will want to use y our 45″ wide calculations.

Silky Noil will work in just about any pattern that can use a drapy woven fabric. Since it is yarn dyed, it’s the same color on the front and back so if you have an intersting pattern that the backside will show, this might be just the fabric.

Below you’ll see some of the pattern we continue to use with Silky Noil.

Keep it organzied with Meori foldable boxes

We all have lots of great little tools to help with our sewing and quilting, but it’s hard to keep it all organized. The foldable Meori boxes and insert can do just that. It takes so little space that it’s perfect to sit by your sewing machine or on the cutting table to hold those special markers, scissors, and clips. Unfolded the boxes are 6″ x 6″. There are several great colors to choose, but don’t forget to get the insert as it divides the box into individual compartments.

These are great as a gift for that special quilting friend. Once you have one, you will want several to keep all your stuff organized.

The seams are clipped and the quilt is tossed in the washer and dryer. That’s it! If you don’t have them, you might want to consider purchasing the Rag Snip scissors. They will make the clipping so much easier on your hands.

Our latest Rag-a-Muffin quilt kit is from the
Snowy Days flannel collection by Dear Stella.

Maria’s Sky from Betsy Chutchian for Moda Fabrics

Betsy’s love in fabrics is reproduction prints. In 1980, she received an antique quilt top made by her paternal great-grandmother and great-aunt. It was then that she taught herself to quilt.

Betsy’s passion for fabric and antique quilts has led her to design fabric with Moda which isn’t far from her home in Grand Prairie, Texas. She is the author of Gone to Texas, Quilts from a Pioneer Woman’s Journal, and Lizzie’s Legacy to name just a few.

Enjoy her latest group.

Kathleen’s artwork make these roosters adorable.

The panel is about 24″ x 42″ which makes each of
the blocks about 10″ tall.
