Tartary Quilt Kits

It’s amazing how different a pattern can look just by the choice of fabrics. In our shop we like to make a pattern more than once showing off different fabrics. Whether it’s a garment or a quilt, the fabric choices can make all the difference.

Tartary is just that pattern. We purchased it several years ago, didn’t make a model and it eventually went in the sale room. Then that perfect fabric came along so we brought it back and made the Stonehenge version. It was very well received.

Our favorite fabric collection has to be Aboriginal. We are always looking a new quilt to make using these wonderful fabrics and we decided to give Tartary a try. Wow… very different.

Check out both quilt kits or purchase just the pattern and use your favorite fabrics!

Hoffman Batiks – They set the bar high!

There are some amazing batiks available, but the first and still the top (in our opinion) is Hoffman of California. They have been producing batiks for over 40 years and we have been purchasing them for that long!

When they were first “going to be available”, we placed an order and waited nearly a year. Time came to place an order for the next season and we hadn’t received the first ones. We had no idea if they would be well received. It’s that “leap of faith” that told us to get more!! We never looked back and have carried Hoffman batiks continuously in our shop for over 40 years.

Check out their newest batiks.

Love pre-cuts. See the latest fat quarter bundles from Hoffman.

Wild Blossoms from Robin Pickens

It must be Spring. We have received our Moda bluebonnet prints. This year they were designed by Robin Pickens in her new collection, Wild Blossoms. I guess there is more than one way to look at a bluebonnet. Know you will enjoy these great fabrics.

The focus print of the collection is
an ombre background running parallel
to the selvedge.

The overprint is full of bluebonnets,
flowers and bees. Not sure how to use it, but gotta
have it!

If you are a fan of pre-cuts, we have the charm squares and the 2 1/2″ strips from the Wild Blossoms collection.

If you are looking for bluebonnet fabrics, you might check out the ones we have continued to carry over the years.

Not sure what you want, but you must “need” some bluebonnet fabrics in your stash. We have bundled half yards and fat quarters into two collections of bluebonnet fabrics and coordinates. One group is on the lighter backgrounds and the other is on the darker and black backgrounds.
