The popularity of aprons continues - they are such a fun way to express yourself and create something useful at the same time. This magazine, apron-ology ($14.99) will inspire you with ideas to create your own great apron.  There are no patterns, but the ideas could be easily adapted to any of the commercial patterns available.

The Sassy Little Apron pattern ($9.98) uses a flounce ruffle and interesting shaped pocket in contrasting fabric to create a "twirly girly apron" that promises to have a slimming fit to boot. The button-on strap is designed to make it easy to custom fit.

Scalloped Apron Pattern
The Scalloped Apron pattern ($9.98) by The Paisley Pincushion is a reversible full wrap-around apron with scalloped detailing on the hemline and pockets. The pattern includes 4 sizes (Childs 2-6, Girls 6-14, Ladies 8-14, and Ladies 16-26) and the criss-cross styling in back helps the apron give you room to work.

The Chatterbox Apron pattern ($6.98) by Mary Mulari is a one-size, reversible style. It takes just two 1 yard pieces to make this reversible apron.

Church Ladies' Apron Pattern
The Church Ladies' Apron pattern ($6.98) by Mary Mulari is another one-size, reversible style. You'll just need two 1 yard pieces of fabric to make this reversible apron.

Cook's Cover-Up Pattern
The Cook's Cover-Up pattern ($9.98) by Indygo Junction is a one-size-fits-all apron in two lengths. The 27" length that we typically make takes 1 yard of fabric for the apron and the facing and 1 1/4 yards for the bottom band, neck strip, pocket and waist ties.

Retro Apron Pattern
Kwik Sew offers a Retro Apron pattern, # 3320 ($12.98), with multiple styles. This one-size apron comes to life with giant rick-rack trim --- for a real vintage look. The apron requires only 1 1/8 yards of fabric and 3 1/2 yards of rick rack.

The Emmeline Apron Pattern
The Emmeline Apron pattern ($12.98) by Sew Liberated is a one-size, reversible style. It takes just 1 yard each for the front and the back (remember its reversible) and 1 3/4 yards of coordinating cotton for the straps.
