Boots and Bandanas Embroidery Machine Applique Designs CD

These wonderful embroidered boots are the latest in embroidery machine applique. The Boots and Bandanas CD from Lunch Box Quilts ($45.98) includes 8 wonderful applique boot designs for Embroidery Machines. The CD also includes two star designs and has the following formats: .art .dst .exp .hus .jef .pcs .pes .sew .shv .vip .vp3 .xxx .

IMPORTANT: The Boots and Bandanas embroidery designs require a hoop size of at least 6" x 7".

We decided to stitch ours individually on towels instead of on a quilt. Each of our towels is done with a different batik, so we have put together little boot kits of fabric to do each boot. Each Boot Kit ($4.98) will easily do three boots and each kit lists the number of the Sulky threads that we used to stitch our sample.

If you are planning to stitch multiple boot kits, we also have a Boots Thread Kit ($49.00) with all 12 threads that we used for the 8 boots.

Most Texans know that that the spring wildflowers in Texas are a beautiful site to behold. Luckily, several fabric companies have recognized the popularity of the Texas wildflowers and have created wonderful lines of fabric to capture their beauty.

Appliqué and Quilt Patterns
We are also always on the lookout for sewing patterns that are particularly appropriate for Texas. Here are some of our latest Texas-themed patterns.

Texas Bluebonnet Wildflower pattern

The Texas Bluebonnet Wildflower pattern by Bobbie Y. Jarrett Designs ($8.98) is designed for hand appliqué, but it would also be great in raw edge fusible appliqué. You can see, to the right, that we had to get this one stitched up right away. The wallhanging created is about 15" x 25".

Bluebonnets Quilt Pattern
Here's a new pattern in the "Desert Series" of patterns from Susan Cranshaw (see her other patterns below) . This Bluebonnets pattern ($12.98) is especially fun for us as she has used our Creations' Bluebonnet batik fabric in the bluebonnets of her model quilt.

Cactus Blossom Quilt Pattern
The Cactus Blossom quilt pattern ($12.98) from the "Desert Series" of patterns from Susan Cranshaw features the beautiful blossom of the Prickly Pear cactus that sometimes brightens up an otherwise barren landscape..

Armadillo, Horned Toad and Roadrunner patterns
Pictures of Horned Toads or Roadrunners bring back fond Texas childhood memories for many. Susan Cranshaw has brought them back to life in two patterns from her "The Desert Series". The newest Texas critter from Susan's Desert Series is a cute Armadillo.

These patterns contain the designs, not complete quilt patterns, for raw edge applique using lots of little bits of fabric. They include great fusible web instructions. You could combine both patterns and create a unique quilt.

Texas Crests Quilt Kit
We're also thrilled to have some beautifully digitized Texas-themed embroidery designs to offer. We love the Texas Crests Machine Embroidery CD which was digitized by Susa Glen. As soon as we saw it we knew we'd have to design a quilt kit using these embroidered crests featuring Texas themed imagery. We used our Creations' Bluebonnet batik as the outer border with coordinating batiks for the entire quilt. Our Texas Crests Quilt Kit ($45.00), shown right, creates a 48" x 52" quilt and contains all the fabrics to complete the top of the wallhanging, including the binding. The CD is not included.

The Texas Crests Machine Embroidery CD ($79.98) not included in the kit. This CD contains a total 15 different designs digitized by Susa Glen, in 3", 4", and 5" to make a total of 51 designs. The Texas Crests Machine Embroidery CD ($79.98) includes the following formats: .dst, .emd, .exp, .hus, .jef, . pec, .pes, .vip, .xxx . If you have the Bernina Artista, you will need to have the software to convert the designs to the Artista format. The image below, from the back of the CD, shows the included designs.
